small casket with hinged lid, handle on lid, constructed from a frame (possibly cast) and panels with decorative cut-outs backed with cloth mounted on metal plates, key hole situated centrally in the front face and 7 associated square or rectangular holes that may have been used for attaching the lock (now missing)
