Zion Chapel was built by the Methodist New Connexion on the north side of West Street near its junction with Bond Street in 1829.
It closed in 1934 when the congregation united with that of the former Brothertoft Road Wesleyan Methodist chapel and moved into the brand-new Zion Chapel, Brothertoft Road.

Zion Chapel, West Street (Methodist New Connexion) is not to be confused with the West Street Primitive Methodist Chapel.

The chapel was in the following circuits at the dates indicated:

Boston Zion United Methodist Circuit 1907-1933
Boston Centenary Methodist Circuit 1933-1934
