The monument includes the base and lower part of a medieval limestone cross, located to the south-east of the south porch. For a full description see scheduling document 22711. There is a 1m boundary around the archaeological features, considered to be essential for the support and preservation of the monument. The gravestone on the north-east side of the cross, where it lies within the protected area, is excluded from the scheduling. {4}
Photographs of the cross show that there is a shield bearing the arms of the Thimbleby family. {5}
