Description:Vertical rectangular grey stone has oval top with checks dropping to Scotia shoulders, stone narrows below shoulders before widening toward bottom. Originally stood on large horizontal grey rectangular foundation stone which, in turn, stood on brown horizontal rectangular base stone, all stones now displaced and lie on ground with headstone detached from others. Large semi circular recessed panel toward top of headstone appears to hold flower and leaf decoration, dedication beneath in very faded black lead lettering
Inscription:In Loving Memory / of / REBECCA MAUD / THE BELOVED DAUGHTER OF / GEORGE AND ROSE HANNAH SMITH / WHO PASSED AWAY AFTER A LONG / ILLNESS ON NOVEMBER 30TH 1916, / AGED 27 YEARS. / JESUS LOVER OF MY SOUL. / ALSO THEIR DEAR SON / WALTER WRIGHT / WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION / AUGUST 18TH 1916 IN FRANCE, / AGED 23 YEARS. / ONE OF THE BEST.
