Description:Celtic cross on short square column. Stands on 4 tier stepped base. Top stone inward inclined, bottom stone has chamfered top and two middle stones are square. Front of cross decorated with Celtic designs. Inscription in black lead lettering on top 3 stones of base and is weathered with many missing letters.

Inscription:IN / LOVING MEMORY OF / JOHN SEARLE / BORN APRIL 10TH 18(..) / DIED JAN 1(.) 1910 / 'GODS FINGER TOUCHED (?) (?)' / ALSO ELLEN BELOVED WIFE OF JOHN SEARLE / BORN SEPT 4TH 1850. DIED NOV 18TH 1917 / 'WITH GOD WHICH IS FAR BETTER' / ALSO JOHN ARTHUR SEARLE/2ND LIEUT. 1ST BATT SHERWOOD FORESTERS / BORN NOV. 26TH 1896, DIED OF WOUNDS MAY 4TH 1917, / INTERRED AT ETRETAT, FRANCE. / "OUR SONS HAVE SHOWN US GOD."
