Inscription:IN MEMORY OF/ PRIVATE FRED TURTLE/ 14TH KINGS HUSSARS/ OF THIS PARISH WHO DIED ON/ SERVICE AT KROONSTAD. S.A./ ON OCTOBER 20TH 1900./ ERECTED BY HIS COMRADES.
