Description:Cross. Fifteenth Century, restored in c.1918. Limestone ashlar, some red brick patching. 2 steps lead up against a tall 5 sided plinth, patched with brick, and with moulded cornice. Smaller 5 sided upper plinth with chamfered base above. Broached octagonal shaft with early Twentieth Century castellated knop and gabled crucifixion.

Transcription:This tablet was erected by the parishioners in grateful memory of the men of Claypole who fell in the Great War, 1914 . 1918. Their bodies are buried in peace, but their names liveth for evermore.
