Description:Plaque commissioned by Marian Somerville Topham of Wootton Grange. Placed on the south wall (midway between the two windows) of the nave of the parish church of Wootton and made of brass and about two feet two inches by about one foot four inches and inscribed.
Inscription:To the Glory of God and loving memory of/ James Topham,/ Captain & Adjutant 8th Lincolnshire Regt./ Only son of J.G. and M.S. Topham/ of Wootton Grange/ who gave his life for God, King and Country/ at the Battle of Loos September 26 1915./ Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life/
