Biographical Notes:George Pardoe was born in 1896 in Gainsborough. He was educated at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Gainsborough. he finished his education at Lincoln Technical School and then he trained as a Gas Apprentice Engineer at Rustons in Lincoln. He had moved to live with Uncle and Aunt- John and Edith Smithson on 22 Broadgate Lincoln in 1908. He was a keen all- round Sportsman and won a Golf Cup in 1915. He was a member of Lincoln YMCA and a popular member of the Clasketgate Wesleyan Choir. He died in a military hospital in Ireland having been in the army for less than a month.He enlisted at from Broadgate 10/01/2016. 1901 CENSUS George Pardoe Gladstone St. Mentioned in 25.7.19 Gainsborough News. Gainsborough News 11.2.16 died in Military Hospital at Curragh Camp, Ireland.
