Biographical Notes:Edgar Cuthbert was born on 10th August 1885 to Druisilla and John Cuthbert. The 1901 census (April 1901) shows the family living at the Carrs (Gander Farm)his father was the farmer and Edgar age 16 was an Ironmongers apprentice. Edgar had four brothers - John William, Frederick George, Timotyhy and Arthur. Both his parents died in the second half of 1901. The 12th Battalion was a home battalion therefore Edgar did not experience service overseas.
