Biographical Notes:Henry was born in 1895 at East Halton (military records state Hull) and was the son of George and Emma Mawer. At the time of the 1901 census his father George was recorded as a farmer at East Field, East Halton (between Skitter Road and the Beck). At the time of the 1911 census George was recorded as a farmer at North Field, Ulceby, and Henry (Harry) was working on his father's farm. He is remembered on his brother's headstone in Killingholme churchyard which states missing presumed killed. Parents both also buried in North Killingholme churchyard
