    STURTON BY STOW SECONDARY SCHOOL

    Records of Sturton by Stow Secondary School. The school was formed from the Secondary Department of Sturton by Stow County School, and officially constituted as a Secondary School on 1 January 1961. It moved to new buildings in the Summer which were officially opened by the Minister of Education on 27 October 1961. The school was closed on 27 July 1989, with many pupils transferred to the Yarborough High School in Lincoln.

    Records of the Sutton St Edmund School. The school was built in 1896 by the Sutton St Edmunds School Board, and became a Council School in 1903. It was known as Sutton St Edmund Chapel End School in the early twentieth century. The school was closed in late 1969 or early 1970.

    Records of Tattershall Curzon CE Primary School. The school was built in 1864 as a National School, and was known as Tattershall CE School by 1913. Senior pupils were transferred to the Tattershall Gartree Secondary Modern School from April 1954. New school buildings were opened in 1965 but the old school also remained in use.

    TETNEY PRIMARY SCHOOL

    Records of the Tetney Primary School. An existing Wesleyan school was taken over and administered by Tetney School Board, formed in 1873, as the Tetney Board School. It became Tetney Council School from 1903. The school was re-organised in 1937 with older pupils transferred to a new Senior School at Waltham Toll Bar. Prior to September 1999 it was known as Tetney County Primary School, since when the current name has been used.

    Records of Thorpe St. Peter County School. The school was built in 1876 and was later administered by the Thorpe St. Peter School Board, formed 15 July 1879. It became a Council School in 1903 and a County School in the late 1940s. The school was closed after 1986 and by 1997.

    TIMBERLAND CE SCHOOL

    Records of Timberland CE School. The school was built in 1840 and was connected to the National Society in 1847 as Timberland National School. At some time after 1903 it became known as Timberland CE School. It became a primary school in September 1956, with the senior pupils transferred to the new Ruskington Secondary Modern School. The school was closed on 6 April 1971, with the children transferred to the Mrs Mary King's School at Martin. The school was sometimes also known as Timberland School, Timberland Village School, and (in 1968) Timberland National CE Primary School.

    TORKSEY COUNTY SCHOOL

    Records of Torksey County School. The school was built in 1870. It was known as Torksey CE School by 1903. In late 1920 or early 1921 the school was transferred to Lindsey County Council and became Torksey Council School. Senior children were transferred to senior schools in Gainsborough from April 1946. The school was known as Torksey County Primary School from 1948 until 1953, and subsequently as Torksey County School. The school was closed in 1970, with the pupils transferred to an extended Marton County School.

    ULCEBY WITH FORDINGTON COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL

    Records of Ulceby-with-Fordington County Primary School. The school was opened on 8 January 1912 as Ulceby-with-Fordington Council School. In September 1932 the school became a junior and infant school, with senior pupils transferred to Alford Central School. The school was closed on 26 July 1963, with the children transferred to Alford Secondary Modern School and Alford Primary School.

    Records of Utterby Primary School. The school opened in 1879. It was a voluntary school known as Utterby Wyham-with-Cadeby and North Ormsby School in 1903, and it had become a council school known as Utterby, Wyham with Cadeby and North Ormsby Council School by 1930. Senior children were transferred to Louth by 1933. The school was known as Utterby County Primary School by 1950 and until September 1999, since when the current title has been used.

    UPTON-CUM-KEXBY CE SCHOOL

    Records of the Upton-cum-Kexby CE School. The school was opened in 1853 and was known as Upton-cum-Kexby National School until at least 1903. By 1910, and until at least the 1930s, it was known as Kexby and Upton CE School in official sources. However, the name Upton-cum-Kexby CE School was used locally by 1929 and officially by 1948. Senior pupils appear to have been transferred to the Benjamin Adlard and Lea Road Secondary Modern Schools in Gainsborough on 20 June 1947. The school was closed in 1971, because of the poor condition of the building, with the remaining pupils transferred to Lea CE School.

    Records of West Ashby CE Primary School. The school was built in 1874 and became a public elementary school in 1877. It was known as West Ashby CE School by 1903 and until 1976. The school re-opened on 3 September 1980 with no pupils on the roll, the children having transferred to other schools, mostly in Horncastle, over the Summer holdidays, and was formally closed on 31 December 1980.

    WHITTON COUNCIL SCHOOL

    Records of Whitton Council School. It opened as a National School in 1864, and became a public elementary school called Whitton School in 1893. It became a Council School on 11 October 1930. Senior children were being transferred to Alkborough by 1934. The school closed in March 1943 for the duration of the War, with the children and headteacher transferred to Alkborough School, and does not appear to have re-opened.

    WILLOUGHTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

    Records of Willoughton Primary School. The school was opened in 1866 as Willoughton National School and was known by 1898 as Willoughton CE School. In the Autumn of 1920 the school was transferred to Lindsey County Council to become Willoughton Council School. New premises were opened in 1929 and ownership of the old school buildings reverted to the parish. Senior children were transferred to the new Senior School at Kirton in Lindsey from April 1940. The school was known as Willoughton County School from 1945 until at least 1969. It was later known as Willoughton County Primary School until September 1999, since when the current title has been used.

    Records of Algarkirk CE Primary School. The school was built in 1857-58 by the Rector of Algarkirk, and designed by Sir Gilbert Scott. It was known as Algarkirk Church School by 1905 and as Algarkirk CE Primary School by 1953. Senior children were transferred to Kirton Secondary Modern School from January 1949, and the school became a primary school. The school was closed on 22 March 1977, with the children transferred to the new school at Sutterton.
