    NETTLETON COMMUNITY SCHOOL

    Records of Nettleton Community School. The school was opened on 19 August 1835 as Nettleton General School. It was conveyed to the parish in 1875, and was transferred to the newly-formed Nettleton School Board in 1880, as Nettleton Board School. It became Nettleton Council School in 1903, and Nettleton County School, c.1947. Senior pupils were transferred to the Caistor Senior School from 1938. The school was known as Nettleton County Primary School prior to September 1999, since when the current title has been used.

The school was opened on 29 August 1932 as Scotter Council School, replacing Scotter CE School [SR/876], Scotton Council School [SR/879], and Northorpe CE School [SR/806]. The school became Scotter County School, c.1948. Senior pupils were transported to Gainsborough and other schools from the mid-1950s. The school was known as Scotter County Primary School prior to September 1999, since when the present title has been used.

    Records of Scremby CE School, formerly a National School. The school was known as Scremby and Ashby CE in 1903 and until at least 1936. By 1940 senior children were being transferred to Spilsby CE School. The school was closed on 20 December 1960, with the children transferred to Partney CE School and Irby in the Marsh County School.

It was known as South Ormsby-cum-Ketsby Church School in 1903, and as South Ormsby with Ketsby CE School by 1911 and until at least 1948. Senior children were being transferred to the Alford Senior School by 1936. The school was closed on 26 July 1974, with the children transferred to a new school at Tetford.

    Records of Southrey CE School. The school was built as Bardney, Southrey National School. It was known as Bardney, Southrey CE School by 1909 and until at least 1948. From about 1949, seniors were transferred to Cagthorpe school in Horncastle [SR/464], and Southrey became a primary school known as Southrey CE School. Prior to 1965 it was administered by the same managers as Bardney Kitchings School [SR/021], but had its own managers thereafter. The school was closed on 20 December 1968, with the children transferred to Bardney.

The school was closed on 21 July 1983 because of a falling Roll, with the children transferred to schools in Ruskington and the Lafford School, Billinghay.
