STUBTON HALL SCHOOL

Stubton Hall School was opened on 7 January 1952 as Stubton Hall Boarding Special (ESN) School, and from then until July 1982 the school catered for boys with learning difficulties. After that date such children were integrated into ordinary schools. From 1958 the school was known as Stubton Hall Boarding School. From September 1982 the school catered for boys and girls aged 8-16 years with behavioural problems. In its later years the school was known as Stubton Hall School. The school was closed in July 2003, and replaced by The Phoenix School at Grantham.
