Biographical Notes:LIEUT. J. THOMAS OF SUTTON-ON-SEA News of the death of Lieut, John Thomas, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. David Thomas, of High Street, Sutton-on-Sea, was received last Friday evening. Lieut. Thomas met his death while serving his country in France, where he had been only a couple of months since receiving his commission. He had previously served in the ranks, having been a member of the Territorial Force before the war. Boston Guardian - 08 September 1917 - page 4.
