a) Testament:
1) body to be buried near the picture (image) of St. Helen in the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Hundleby.
2) 6d. to the High altar there.
3) 6s. 8d. to the fabric there, for his burial.
4) 12d. to the fabric of the mother church of Lincoln.
5) 6d. to St. Katherine's hospital.
6) 1 lb. of wax to the light of the B.V.M. in Hundleby church.
7) 12d. each to the Franciscans, Dominicans, Carmelites, and Hermits of Boston.
8) 6s. 8d. each to his daughters Matilda and Alice.
9) All his goods to his wife Beatrice if she remains single. If she remarries she is to have only her third, John his son is to have the rest.
10) 13s. 4d. to mending the roads in Hundleby.
11) All the rest of his goods to executors, his wife, son and John Croft, to be used for the good of his soul.
12) 13s. 4d. to John Cupuldyke of Harrington whom he appoints supervisor of his will.
b) Last will
1) Beatrix his wife is to have, if she remains single, a life interest, without impeachment of waste, in his messuage, arable lands and the croft called Toylecroft in Hundleby; if she remarries she is to have only her third.
2) John his son to succeed his mother in the same property. If he dies without heirs the feoffees are to sell the property and from the proceeds maintain anniversary masses in Hundleby church and carry out works of charity.
3) Beatrix and John are each while holders of the property to use 6s. 8d. of the rent of Toylecroft to pay for an obit in Hundleby church.
On the dorse of (b) a note of probate in Spilsby church before Henry ap John, bishop's commissary. 14 March 1488/9.
