Reference Name 44-MLL/2/10

Photographs showing the restoration of "Daphne", a Mark IV "Female" tank. The restoration was undertaken by trainees at Ruston Gas Turbines in Lincoln between Sep 1983 and Nov 1985. Includes photographs of the interior and exterior during restoration, areas of heavily corroded metalwork, trainees at work and close-ups of various components (including the tracks, gun mountings, ball races etc). Towards the back of the volume there are a number of photographs showing the fully restored tank on a trailer in front of the grandstand on the West Common.
