British Red Cross Society badge from the Firs World War, belonging to Catherine Stow Gold coloured metal badge with blue enamel circle, and white scroll beneath. Centre has Red Cross white shield with red cross in centre, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Whole surmounted by gold crown. 10 Year's Service badge. This badge was awarded in recognition of long service to British Red Cross officers and members on completion of ten years~ service if they still remained members of their detachment. Each badge was numbered and engraved with the name of the person to whom it was issued. Back of badge has C S Stow engraved on it and the number 4652. This and the next badge were together in the Red Cross box for the 10 Year's Service badge, box is labelled Badge Book Ref 19166, and the intials C S Stow on it.
