Stories of Steam & Oil
Lincolnshire’s industrial heritage told by those who know it best.
During Winter 2011, we worked with our loyal team of volunteers at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life to document the history of some of the key items in our industrial / agricultural collection. The volunteers, many of whom have a long history themselves of working in and around and on many of these machines, recorded short videos about their favourite engines and objects, and the proud industrial heritage of this county. Lincolnshire’s own Poet Laureate has even written a couple of poems to accompany this rich resource and we strongly recommend you go ‘full steam ahead’ and explore the nuts and bolts and stories herein…
