Two copies of an invitation and ticket to Peace Celebrations held on 19th July 1919 to commemorate victory in World War One. Victory March by Members of HM Forces, held at the Guildhall. Postcards with details of invite printed on one side, and the other side printed for address, left blank. From Aubrey Malim, Town Clerk. Also two cards of pink tickets which could be reclaimed at the Peace celebration in exchange for either a half pint of ale or a bottle of mineral water. Each card has 4 perforated tickets on it, each printed with a number and the heading 'Official Welcome to 'Overseas' Men.' Thursday 7th August 1919. These two cards are numbered 1079 and 1080.
